Starting this blog

Your voice can only travel so far...it has its limit even if you try your darnedest to be the neighbourhood tenor from the confines of your bath tub. That's where a blog really helps - write out your sound bytes and get it to everyone on this planet. It doesn't matter if you don't have anything particular to say - Just Say It :)

Everyone has a blog; everything has a blog. And if hosting is provided free of cost, everyone should get themselves a blog. Besides, if you are not the type who wants to get into the nitty-gritty of hosting a website and learning all of the stuff that helps maintain the site, a blog can be an easy alternative. I am sure that sometime in future, our entire life could be stored in a video blog. Till then...this would do fine.

Can having a blog jeopardise your job? No matter what the answer is, fact is that a blog helps share your gyan* with the world. If it helps you let off steam in the process, then why not. Maturity must be on display from both sides of the coin - employer and the employee. Just dont expect any "maturity" from the employer when you are breaking all the company rules in your effort to add spice to your blog.

Why am I typing all this stuff here? Just to remind me to keep off the spice for now ... I do love my job at Microsoft and would love to stay there for now :)
